CAD Apprentice
TR Fastenings.
For two years I worked with TR Fastenings Uckfield as an Apprentice CAD Designer. I worked with the head of web development to update existing CAD models on the TR website and model new ones for the site. Most of the models I work with are modeled to an international standard, that being a DIN, BSI, ISO or JIS. Proprietary products are modeled using production drawings and TR manufactures their own Hank & Clinch range of products. My Job is to then take those drawings and transform those into a 3D Cad models using Solidworks and then cross check them. All models must be to a high standard since these are used by TRs Customers and small screws end up in much larger models such as planes. My models eventually end up on 3D Content Central where they are linked through to the TR website and customers are able to download them.
