I'm a highly motivated young professional from Belgium, looking to take on his next challenge in the world of international development and humanitarian aid. The past three years I have spent volunteering in South-America, Morocco, and Asia, and I am now looking to put my skills to use in and around London. Project Officer Intern at the High Atlas Foundation
This function entailed a varied workload, ranging from documenting the objectives, progress, and evaluation of multiple projects, to representing the NGO in meetings with donors and partner organisations. Furthermore, I combined data from field visits with research into the wider socio-political context to conduct analyses and draft reports, both for internal use and in communication with donor
organisations (UNDP, l'Oréal, Ecosia), governmental bodies, and civil society groups. These included project proposals, updates for colleagues in the field, project evaluations, and articles for (social) media outlets.
Additionally, I facilitated 11 participatory needs assessments and stakeholder meetings, and organised trainings on subjects like human rights, gender equality, and natural resource management. These were always context-specific, using local objects and narratives to stimulate community engagement, frame public debate, and reach even the most vulnerable members of the community.
