1. PHP (Magento) Developer VisionDirect, Software Engineer, Relisource Technologies Limited and Freelance. Work on client requirement and build requirement documentations. Build components / modules and develop prototype and user experience captures. Write unit tests and test modules and cross check features, functionality and user experience with specification and requirement documents and client. Use design patterns (observers, adapters, factories and helpers) and maintain coding standard throughout projects and check modules for minimum coupling and maximum maintainable and reusable modules and features. Gather clients feedback and make necessary changes. Scaling web applications for huge user bases, think about work around to avoid bottleneck situations, try to make different modules more efficient and give users a better experience.

I have been working mostly in PHP (for the last 8+ years) and Magento framework (for 5+ years) with strong understanding of design patterns and OOP (as I mainly come from Java background academically). I work mostly in back end web development scaling websites for large user base, Develop Magento modules (affiliate programs, shipment printing using AMQP, Automatic Reordering, Scaling site by using static content, Live stock checker) and also integrate 3rd party modules (for payment gateways, affiliates, etc.). I have also worked on projects to make massive CPU intensive database queries work faster, especially for live stock checking for millions of products. I also have exposure to frontend Magento development and worked with the designers and helped them with Javascript functionalities.

2. Teaching Assistant at North South University. Explain students the various computer science concepts and theories. Help them with their projects and practicals. Take short sessions for a group who are struggling with course topic or course work. Mark quizes, assignments and term papers.
