Currently I am a Freelance publicist but have worked across the publishing spectrum in Events, PR and Contracts roles where I have helped to develop and guide author brands. Often I was the only member of my team so have great resilience and a strong work drive to bring a project to competition. This also meant that I have excellent communication both internally and externally having to be able to working with and across multiple teams and ensure we are always presenting the same message. I can generate great copy, work within time and budget and I am an excellent team player who loves to get involved in a project, especially where I can see the effects of what I am doing. I bring strong negotiation having worked across numerous publishing contracts departments as well as for agencies and authors directly and believe no problem is unsolvable we just have to work out the best 'how's' for the team. I recently took an author on a five day book tour across the UK, which combined the creative with the pragmatic in its planning, execution of said events as well as moderating two of the events. I have previously organised and managed day to day events in one of Europe's largest book shops working with high profile authors and brands and helped developed and run and online virtual literature festival.
