Designed and delivered a program for a leading UK bank to transform mindsets and behaviors in managers around leading emergent change in a digital environment. The program was designed to shift managers from understanding to action with the remit of both identifying and enabling change activity while concurrently supporting and turbo charging their teams during the turbulence of uncertain futures. Cohorts of 20 experienced a combination of coaching, facilitated workshop and online learning. Final coaching sessions validated the approach and impact of the program.

Experience with multiple strategic challenges including speeding up adoption of new IT solutions, equipping teams to have better foresight skills to prepare for unknown futures, designing new digital solutions to enable change, embedding new supply chain design, supporting M&A integration and leadership skills, while changing team culture and ways of working.

• Designed and delivered a digital solution for transforming mindsets and skills in 10,000 middle level managers in the context of a global reorganization across the client's entire enterprise. Conducted research with senior leaders to pinpoint significant barriers to change and identify focus areas for a new digital solution. Core issues include running virtual teams, using the latest collaborative technology tools and poor meeting practices. Content also applied the latest in networked leadership to shift management practices. Collaborated with senior leaders in IT, Internal Comms, HR, OD and the business to clarify implementation needs and sharpen likelihood of adoption.
• Worked with a Chief Executive and leadership team to diagnose current cultural patterns and barriers to change and design a new operating culture. Designed the diagnostic including interviews with each leadership team member, surveys, and focus groups with all levels in the organization to ensure a holistic data set. Supported the leadership team in crafting, shaping, rehearsing then enacting meaningful and lively communications, as well as ensuring that role modelling was understood to ensure the desired changes would stick and have continuing relevance and value.
• Built a story-based solution to support leaders and managers in having difficult conversations with their teams about quality. Managers were able to understand an abstract set of values and behaviours, bring them to life and so make them meaningful for a stakeholder group unused to those kinds of conversations. The solution has been translated into 26 languages and is still being applied to identify improvement opportunities 8 years later.
• Trained multiple clients understand how to use story skills and techniques to drive change. As change is now omnipresent a variety of proprietary techniques have supported leaders and managers in building their capabilities. For example, through workshops (typical group size 10-120) for leaders and managers to help them rehearse their communication skills and understand how their message skills might impact audiences, including teaching leaders how neuroscience affects change; building portfolios of story content to change ambitions and designing visual storyboards to promote better leader empathy.
