I’m a dedicated production DBA with a decade of MySQL experience and certification. I’ve worked with small deployments from one to two servers to large enterprise scale deployments of up to 100 instances. I have been exposed to a vast array of technologies from Solaris to Windows and many of the MySQL versions and alternatives such as Percona Server and MariaDB. I love MySQL as a technology due to the inherent flexibility and expansive ecosystem surrounding it. One of the most important aspects of MySQL for me is the community, the bloggers and the collective enthusiasm for open source.

I have delivered presentations on MySQL topics such as Replication, Backup and Recovery and Audit Logging at the North American and European MySQL conferences. I am a great communicator with the ability to adapt my communication style to the audience and situation at hand. I have a background in customer service and experience leading a team. I am a competent communicator with both internal and external customers and am able to convey my point clearly with team members and peers.
