CHINA
Au pair/ English teacher,
I worked as an au pair mainly teaching kids in Chinese families. I learned how to communicate with children and people who don't necessarily speak the same language. I lived with the families and had to deal with cultural differences and a language barrier. The children I worked with were from ranges 2-7 years old, for many of these children were contact with another language (English) for the very first time. In the meantime, I had to learn some basic Chinese to be able to live comfortably.
