Responsible for 35 Fuel Tanker Drivers over 6 sites, Newcastle, Immingham, Kingsbury, Cardiff, Avonmouth and Hemel Hempstead. Ensuring that all drivers are working within Transport and ADR Regulations, dealing with any HR issue and working along side union representatives. This role also entails daily dealings with customers on our different contracts and building relationships with new customers to ensure that they are all receiving the service that they require.

This was a new role created to set up a new human resource department, in a rapidly growing family business. This involved updating contracts, and all company policies. Along side this Profile moved into a temporary venture in warehousing for Beko PLC, and I was asked to take on the responsibility of Warehouse Manager, overseeing the running of the warehouse, including WMS, inventory and business development. Due to my dual roles, at this time, I was accountable for around 100 staff over the 3 contracts.
In 2017, Beko relocated into a new warehouse, taking away the need for the 3PL warehousing, this created an opening for me to move into the position of Transport Contract Manager (Beko Plc UK Transport Contract), my responsibilities involved ensuring that Beko PLC received the best service possible in the most cost effective way, while keeping within all targets and KPIs. My team of 21 staff consisted of 5 office based staff and 16 LGV drivers. With 12 artics, 50 curtain single trailers and 4 rigids, we supplied all the UK distribution for Beko.
DRIVER CPC PERIODIC TRAINING
Profile also had a registered training centre for Drivers CPC Periodic Training, for which I was the Training Manager. After becoming an RHA certified trainer, I set up the centre, created the CPC courses and I was responsible for all the in house CPC training for 50 drivers over the 2 contracts. Due to this I have to keep up to date with all legislation related to road transport.
