I managed our contractor accounting division with a team of accounting and support staff. All clients were UK-based. A highly varied role which included human resource activities such as recruitment, and performance management and development to ensure we deliver quality accounting and tax services to clients.
Roles and responsibilities include:
● HR including recruitment, training and performance management
● Accounting operations management including systems (CRM), processes & IT
● Development and optimisation of workflows and KPIs
● Project management (e.g. migration to cloud services)
● Business unit budgeting, re-forecasts & analysis
● Supplier payment authorisations
Accomplishments
● Launched an additional accounting service / product to broaden our market reach
● Pilot project in a partnership with cloud accounting software (Xero.com) to make it available to our clients.
● Conceived and implemented online portal for collaboration better with our clients
● Direct Debit billing system improvements to collect monthly fees more efficiently
● Initiated and helped create job/process manuals of certain key positions to make handovers easier and more effective
