My name is Kirsty Jennings, and I'm a freelance writer of 8 years. I started writing my own blog over at http://********.*** and then moved onto ghostwriting for clients that found my blog. I have worked for several agencies such as Fat Joe writing up to 5000 words a day. I have lots of experience in many fields such as parenting, finance, technology, business, home and garden, physical and mental health, and many more. Freelance Writer and Editor
Miss Pork Pie.
Miss Pork Pie is a blog I have owned and written on since 2014 in my spare time. In 2017 I, unfortunately,
had to leave my position at the Doctor's surgery due to unforeseen childcare problems. I decided to pursue my long time hobby and turn it into a career that I have kept up to this day. Whilst my blog is a
wonderful place to make money, I decided to branch out further into a freelance writer & editor role.
I am able to write about a number of topics, my main topics are mental health, all aspects of physical
health, parenting, beauty, business, travel, and lifestyle. I am, however, willing to write about anything and to research if needed.
I have a handful of personal clients that I have built up over the years which required me to write
well-researched content for their website/clients of their own. I have also written for a content creation
company (still freelance) called Fat Joe. Here I was given 4000 words a day for various clients and companies. This role required a lot of research and knowledge around a multitude of subjects. It also
required me to learn how to work in an efficient and organized manner.

2019 - 2020
job
Editor-in-Chief and Marketing
OneAV.
I began working at OneAV after the owner found my blog online. I was hired as the Editor-in-chief for the company's magazine publications and also social media presence.
Working at OneAV required me to learn about the smart home technology products that we sold in order
to write knowledgeably for the industry magazine submission (Essential Install) that we contributed to each month. This was very challenging but also extremely rewarding too! It taught me to work well under
pressure and also prioritise my workload because of looming deadlines!
I was also required to create content for the website and the blog of both OneAV and its partnering
company, Keene. This was often in-depth articles about particular products and why they stand out from others similar on the market. I took the time to learn as much as I could about the products so that not
only could I write knowledgeably about them, but so that when I was talking about them on social media,
I was just as excited and impressed as our target audience was too!
I was also able to use my self-taught skills on social media, as I personally grew their following from mere
hundreds to over 1500 in a short space of time.
I was also in charge of creating mailers to send out to customers and subscribers. This required me to learn HTML for emailer designing. I can provide examples of my work using HTML upon request.
On occasion, I was also asked to create graphics for the company. There was an in-house graphic designer
that usually did all of the graphics. However, on the odd occasion, he wasn't there, I'd fill in and follow
our brand guidelines to create a graphic for the company. I have basic knowledge of photoshop and can
provide examples of my skills.
Unfortunately, due to COVID-19, they have made me redundant, but are happy to provide a reference
if you would like.

2015 - 2017
job
Medical Administrator/Receptionist
New Court Surgery.
I dealt with all administrative paperwork that comes from the GP's, this involved creating
appointments, following up letters with consultants, ensuring all information is on patient's medical
record correctly, scanning, linking to doctors all relevant information to patient's medical record, the continuous use of excel, word, and doc man. I also answered incoming calls from patients and faxes
that are received, along with reception work, chaperoning, and being the lead diabetic administrator for the company. With this, I made and chased up appointments for diabetic patients, referred newly
diagnosed patients to DESP, and followed up patients who did not attend their appointments. Liaised with two diabetic nurses regularly to ensure I was giving the best care possible to these patients. I also
coded all relevant information onto records to do with diabetes.
