Being a team manager, I work extremely closely with other management in the company, ensuring the smooth-running of the department and the best possible service for our clients. On a daily basis I communicate with high profile clients in the UK, America, Australia and France. I am comfortable communicating with these clients by email, telephone and video call and have had to adapt to professional communications while working from home.
Within my current and previous roles I developed my skills as a writer, proofreader and editor, crafting synopses for films and writing editorial pieces, interviews and restaurant reviews for several magazine publications. While working, I also studied for an SVQ Level 3 in Business & Administration which helped me gain the skills and knowledge I needed to undertake my managerial position. I am confident in proofreading, working to style briefs as well as the recognised Guardian Style Guide. From my previous position as Editorial Assistant for a variety of publications, I am confident liaising with editors, writers and industry professionals. I also have experience in organising a print schedule to ensure a deadline is met.
