GMI consultant designer/developer
Credit Suisse.
June 2011 - Dec 2017
Technology used in this engagement: RPGLE, SQL, IFS, Service program APIs, MQ, XML, SOAP, UNIX,
Agile
Worked as a GMI consultant designer/developer. I worked as the lead software architect on the European
Market Infrastructure Regulation (EMIR). Working with a GMI SME, I was responsible for the structural
design and development. Other significant projects include a generic MQ receiving framework that used the new MQ Callback feature that allows asynchronous consumption of MQ messages. This provided fault
tolerant, multi threaded consumption of messages that effectively decoupled the generic MQ consumer from the downstream application consumers. I also rolled out a large suite of service program APIs that
provided common solutions to a wide area of application functional requirements such as date handling,
IFS tools, message sending, etc.
Worked extensively on CSV file production, manipulation and transmission to and from clients and regula-
tory organisations using DB2 SQL, UNIX and SFTP.

designer/architect
J P Morgan/Chase Manhattan Bank/Chemical Bank.
Jan 2010 - June 2011
Technology used in this engagement: RPGLE, SQL, XML, Service program APIs, MQ, XML, SOAP,
UNIX
Re-engaged as a designer/architect at J P Morgan to support securities settlement back office system - ISIS.
The major project worked was a re-development of the ISIS Trade Confirmation system. I played all roles
in this development - from initial proof of concept through development to final UAT support and delivery.
ISIS produces 5000 confirmations a day. In my solution I use IBM's QwpzHostPrintTransform api to con-
vert a native iSeries spool file to a TIFF document image. The binary data of the image is then converted to Base64 encoded data, wrapped in an XML message and sent, via MQ, to an internal document faxing ser-
vice where it is directed to the trade counterparty.

Working with the wealth management team as designer/developer engaged for a single stand alone project.
Project involved receiving Swift MT940 statements over MQ series communication from Zurich. I devel-
oped the software to receive, parse, manage and finally de-construct statements into postings to build mir-
ror accounts in London for high net worth individuals. Project made extensive use of SQL to drive flexible
dynamic 'work with' dialogs for interactive management of received data.
