The project:
You will be working very closely with one or more clients on their social media platforms. You will have to be extremely passionate and really want to see your clients reach their social media goals. The right attitude is key, so much so that your client/s feel comfortable that they have the right person helping with their social media
The job will be to manage a client's social media platforms, including posting for them, reaching out to relevant people in the industry, engaging with people who engage with the channels and generally maintaining the accounts. You will be working alongside a supportive and friendly Team Leader who will help you every step of the way.
The type of clients we work with are small start-up businesses, local businesses, (hairdressers, small cafes, landscaping etc.). Experience with these types of smaller businesses is essential.
We provide you with branded documents to work with (e.g. monthly analysis, tracking sheets, strategy etc.). Your Team Leader will always suggest ideas etc. to support you and make sure both you and your client/s are 100% happy.
Examples of tasks/responsibilities:
- Managing a client's social platforms
- Achieving the goals your client is after, whether it's increasing social media presence/engagement or website traffic, and working hard to tweak the strategy where necessary
- Creating strategies to achieve goals
- Solving problems that may arise and dealing with them effectively
- Working with one or more clients at a time
- Having direct communication with your client at all times through Trello
- Using Discord to communicate with other team members and Team Leaders
- Forming key relationships with relevant people
- Being super reliable and remaining in communication with your Team Leader
- Always up to speed with social media trends
It would be a great advantage if you:
- Have worked with up to 5-8 clients at a time
- Have worked in the social media industry for 1-3 years - preferably within the businesses of B2C, B2B, Retail and Local Services Business
- Are extremely organised
- Are a friendly character and easy to communicate with.
- Have experience managing multiple social channels.
- Have experience using Hootsuite or Buffer
- Have experience using Discord and Trello
- Have experience with working with smaller businesses and self-employed clients
Workload:
You can either work part-time (10-15hrs a month) or full time (20-40hrs a month) depending on what your preference is and what clients we have available. All of our current social media managers only work with one client to begin with, on a paid trial basis.
