voip Xamarin React Native + 4
We're a startup working with a small mobile network operator to build out a VOIP app, allowing users to work with a second mobile phone number on their device. We'd like you to take primary responsibility for the mobile side of things, while we handle the backend - front-end web is up for grabs. At the same time, we'll be looking to support you and work with you as necessary.
Our CTO has a bunch of experience with Xamarin Forms, so we've a preference for that but we're open to using React Native or Kotlin as cross-platform development tools, especially if you're willing to explain why they're better. Learning is fun.
In an ideal world you'd have worked with VOIP before, or handled real-time messaging through Firebase and APNs but neither are deal breakers. If you've an eye for detail then we can always work together on the techie stuff. We're working with Twilio for now to handle the VOIP stuff.
On the web-side we have a proof of concept written in Blazor, but if you're keen on working on this as well then again the tech is largely up for grabs.
We've estimated 2-3 months of work on the mobile app.
Happy for you to work mostly remotely, mostly in-office (somewhere in Zone 1 - near Moorgate at the moment but likely to move), or anything in between. It would be nice to meet you though from time to time.
